Wir gehen natürlich nicht in die Sommerpause und spenden auch im Juli wieder 1.000 Euro an eine gemeinnützige Organisation. Für seine LamaPoll-Spende hat sich unser Software-Entwickler Pascoe KARUNA Zukunft für Kinder und Jugendliche in Not e.V. ausgesucht. Seit der Gründung im Jahr 1990 in Berlin setzt der Verein den Fokus darauf, Kinder und Jugendliche verantwortungsvoll zu unterstützen.
Umsetzung finden die Ziele vor allem in den zahlreichen Bildungsprojekten wie Grund- oder Gemeinschaftsschulen, Kinderhäusern oder auch Einrichtungen und Beratungsstellen für suchtgefährdete und drogenkonsumierende Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene. Weitere integrale Aspekte der Nichtregierungsorganisation sind neben Inklusion und Integration und die Förderung gesellschaftlicher Mitbestimmung. Wohin geht deine Spende des Monats?
Meine Spende geht an KARUNA e.V. Genauer gesagt an das Justus-Delbrück-Haus I Akademie für Mitbestimmung im Bahnhof Jamlitz.
Warum hast du dir KARUNA e.V. als Spendenempfänger ausgesucht?
Ich wollte, dass meine Spende an ein Projekt geht, das Kinder und Jugendliche unterstützt. KARUNA e.V. wurde mir empfohlen, da der Verein über die besten Voraussetzungen verfügt, die Spende sinnvoll einzusetzen.
Warum beschäftigen dich die Inhalte des Projekts? Engagierst du dich privat in diesem Bereich?
Nein, privat bin ich nicht involviert. Aber ich bin der Meinung, dass junge Leute heute unsere Zukunft formen. Und wenn wir sie außerdem dabei unterstützen können, ihren Weg zu finden, wird das positive Auswirkungen haben.
Was erhoffst du dir von deiner Spende?
Mit meiner Spende möchte ich mich an den anfallenden Kosten für Verpflegung, Unterbringung und wichtige Hygieneartikel beteiligen.
Was gefällt dir an der LamaPoll-Aktion „Spende des Monats“ besonders?
Ich finde die Spendenaktion großartig. Das ist eine sinnvolle Möglichkeit, etwas zurückzugeben und Bedürftige in Berlin zu unterstützen. Da alle Mitarbeitenden ihre eigenen Anliegen verfolgen können, kommen die Spenden auch vielen verschiedenen Organisationen zugute und verteilen sich so bestmöglich.
Welche gemeinnützigen Vereine/Organisationen würdest du zusätzlich unterstützen wollen?
Ich würde zusätzlich die Welttierschutzgesellschaft e.V. (WTG) unterstützen.
LamaPoll donation for KARUNA e.V.
No, we’re not taking a summer break and will be donating 1.000 euros to a non-profit organization again in July. Our software developer Pascoe chose KARUNA Zukunft für Kinder und Jugendliche in Not e.V. for his LamaPoll donation. Since its founding in Berlin in 1990, the organization has focused on providing support to children and young people.
These goals are implemented primarily through numerous educational projects, such as elementary and community schools, children’s daycare, and facilities and counseling centers for adolescents and young adults at risk of addiction and drug use. Other integral aspects of the non-governmental organization include inclusion and integration, as well as the promotion of social participation. To whom does your donation go?

Why did you choose KARUNA e.V. for your donation?
I wanted to make the donation to a project that helps children and the youth. Karuna e.V. was recommended as they are well equipped to also put the donation to good use.
Why do you care about the work of your donation recipient? Are you personally involved in this area?
No, I am not involved. I believe that the young people of today will shape the future. If we can support them and help them find their feet, that impact will hopefully be a positive one.
What do you hope is going to happen with your donation?
I hope my donation will help cover the costs of providing food, shelter, and essential hygiene items.
What do you particularly like about the LamaPoll „Donation of the Month“ campaign?
I think it’s a great initiative. It’s a meaningful way of giving back and support those in need around Berlin. Since each employee has their own causes they care about most, the donations reach a variety of organizations. And if not, we make sure to distribute the support as evenly as possible.

I would also support the Welttierschutzgesellschaft e.V. (WTG).
